
Christine Ford
Christine Ford is the Chief Financial Officer at CalSTRS
where she is responsible for the direction of the system's
internal operations, including accounting and financial services,
human resources, quality and training, facilities and information
security. She is also responsible for the oversight of an
operating budget of more than $108 million and the accounting
and financial reporting of CalSTRS' investment portfolio.
Ms. Ford, a Certified Public Accountant and former auditor, joined CalSTRS in 2004. She previously
served as part of the executive management staff at the Department of Aging. She has also worked as
the Chief Accounting Officer for the California Department of Education, Manager of Financial Reporting
for the California Lottery and as auditor for both the Office of Auditor General and the California State
Assembly's Rules Committee. She holds a bachelor's degree in Business Administration from California State
University, Sacramento.
A native of New York, Ms. Ford now lives in Roseville with her husband Jim and son Michael.
Outside of CalSTRS, Ms. Ford serves as a commissioner for the City of Roseville Personnel Board and
as Treasurer of a nonprofit child care board. She also volunteers as a tax preparer for the elderly.
