The National Coalition on Health Care is the nation’s largest and
most broadly representative alliance
working to improve America’s health care. The Coalition, which was founded in 1990 and is non-profit
and rigorously non-partisan, is comprised of almost 100 organizations, employing or representing about
150 million Americans. Members are united in the belief that we need – and can achieve – better, more
affordable health care for all Americans.
The Health Resources and Services Administration,
an agency of the U.S. Department of Health and Human
Services, is the primary Federal agency for improving access to health care services for people who are
uninsured, isolated or medically vulnerable.
California Healthline
is a free, daily news digest on health care policy and politics. It is designed to
meet the information needs of busy health care professionals and decision makers. California Healthline is
part of the California HealthCare Foundation's commitment to important
issues affecting health care policy, delivery and financing.
The
California Public Employees' Retirement System will set up a program to help public agencies pre-fund
retiree health costs.
