CalSTRS Policy on Disclosure of Third Party Relationships and Payments can be found at Section 600 J of its Teachers’ Retirement Board Policy Manual. The Policy was adopted on November 3, 2006.

Prior to entering into an investment transaction or investment management contract, all third party relationships with persons or entities that assisted with the solicitation or the retention of CalSTRS as an existing client and any fees payable to the third party as a result of the relationship must be disclosed in writing to the Chief Investment Officer.

Third party relationship fees, for purposes of this request, include:

• Placement agent fees
• Solicitation fees
• Referral fees
• Promotion fees
• Introduction or matchmaker fees

Reports should be submitted on Form 600 J, Disclosure of Third Party Relationships, by e-mail.
