Disclosure of Contributions and Gifts – Form 600-H

CalSTRS Policy on Disclosure of Contributions and Gifts may be found at Section
600 H
of the Teachers’ Retirement Board Policy Manual. Form 600-H – Disclosure of Contributions and Gifts is required from all soliciting and existing contracting entities and each of their Key Personnel. At solicitation, initial transaction or contract, and annually thereafter, the contracting entity and its Key Personnel are required to report contributions and gifts given to CalSTRS Key Personnel, including, but not limited to:

  • Campaign contributions (Regulations)
  • Charitable contributions
  • Gifts, meals and entertainment

Step 1

NEW - Placement Agents Now Required to Register as Lobbyists

As of 1/1/2011, AB 1743 requires all placement agents and many internal marketing employees to register as lobbyists. Please refer to the websites of the Fair Political Practices Commission and Secretary of State for additional information.

Step 2

CalSTRS Policy on Disclosure of Placement Agent Relationships and Payments may be found at Section 600 J of the Teachers’ Retirement Board Policy Manual, [Amended 04/10].

Prior to entering into an investment transaction or investment management contract with CalSTRS, all persons or entities must complete a Form 600-J – Disclosure of Placement Agent Relationships and must disclose it to the Chief Investment Officer.

This disclosure of placement agent relationships includes any internal marketing staff or third party that assisted with the solicitation or the retention of CalSTRS as a client and any fees payable to the placement agent as a result of the relationship.

Fees payable, for purposes of this request, include, but are not limited to:

  • Placement agent fees
  • Solicitation fees
  • Referral fees
  • Promotion fees
  • Introduction or matchmaker fees
  • Internal marketing incentives
