Preparing For Your Appointment
Be sure to gather the following information prior to your appointment:
- Identification
Benefit counseling appointments are personalized to each member. At the time of appointment, the benefits counselor will
ask you to provide photo ID to confirm your identity prior to conducting the appointment.
- Projected Retirement Date
The date you would like to retire.
- Employment Status
- Full-time
- Part-time
- Any expected employment status changes
- Number of Unused Sick Leave and Annual Contract Days
- Other California Public Retirement Systems
If you plan to also retire from another retirement system, have the highest salary from the other retirement
system ready for your counselor.
- Election of Beneficiary Option
If you have one or more beneficiary options, bring each beneficiary's:
- Name
- Relationship
- Date of birth
