CalSTRS 403(b) Comply Program

Does this change my current 403(b) provider?

No. Everything with your current provider remains the same.

Does this require me to select a new agent?

No. You will remain with the same agent that you are currently using.

Does an employer have to go with your vendor list or can you use their list?

One of the first pieces of information Omni collects from the employer is their vendor list. All vendors that sign Omni’s Service Provider Agreement can be used by the district.

How do we add a vendor that is not on the current vendor list?

If you have an interest in adding a vendor to the district’s 403(b) vendor list, please bring your request to the business office. The district will contact CalSTRS 403(b) Comply with your request for a new vendor.

Why has the district chosen to go with CalSTRS 403(b) Comply versus continuing to administer the program in-house?

To administer the 403(b) plan so that the district is adhering to the laws established by the IRS.

How do we contact CalSTRS 403(b) Comply?

We provide a toll-free number that can be used to answer all questions and concerns you may have regarding the 403(b) Comply program. We may be reached at (888) 394-2060. Additionally, you may visit the website at www.CalSTRS.com/403bComply.

When can I make changes to my existing 403(b) Plan in the future?

Unless otherwise stated by your district’s contract, you may make changes by submitting a CalSTRS/Omni Flex Form at anytime. The completed flex form may be faxed or mailed directly to 403(b) Comply. The mailing address and fax number are located on the flex form.

How do you track where the money goes?

Our in-house database system keeps track of all funds from the time they hit the distribution account, through remittances to fund companies, and final bank reconciliation.
