| Summary:
Would have required actuarial standards be developed by the Department of Education and used
by school districts to report costs associated with retiree health and welfare benefits and
be included in the criteria adopted by the Board of Education to identify schools experiencing
financial difficulties. Also would have required the governing board of each school district to
certify in its annual statements, its ability to pay the normal cost of retiree health and
welfare benefits for the current and succeeding two fiscal years. |
