Save gas, time and the cost of postage by taking advantage of the walk-in service now available at five CalSTRS counseling offices. Submit retirement applications and other forms during a pilot period that began November 1, 2007.

Counseling offices accepting your forms are:

• San Francisco
• Fresno
• San Diego
• Humboldt and
• Downey

Your documents will be treated with complete confidentiality and care by CalSTRS benefits counseling secretaries who will date stamp and send them overnight to Sacramento headquarters. The documents will then be reviewed and processed in Sacramento. Payments will continue to be accepted in Sacramento only.
