If you are not eligible to retire by July 1, 2012, you are not currently eligible to participate in the Medicare Premium Payment Program. Participation in the Medicare Premium Payment Program is currently closed to members who retire after July 1, 2012. Keep apprised of further developments by checking in at CalSTRS.com and reading spring and fall Connections newsletters, as the Teachers' Retirement Board does have the authority to continue the program in the future.
