CalSTRS is committed to staying connected with you in the new year, with ongoing webinars and retirement educational sessions in both individual and small group formats.

Our focus on virtual events and remote customer service began in spring 2020 and continues today as we’ve adapted to the COVID-19 pandemic—with our member service center offices closed indefinitely to keep educators, our team, and all of our families and friends safe.

We featured three online events as part of our 2020 Financial Awareness series: Start Saving Now with Pension2®, Save For Your Future and Navigating Market Volatility With Pension2. We also hosted a New Educator Day event in October 2020.

Nearly 2,000 educators took part in at least one of our webinars, including more than 1,600 for our Financial Awareness series.

More events are coming soon. We’d love to have you back if you’ve attended before, and we happily welcome new participants.

We are hosting an event for part-time educators for the first time on January 14. Plus, New Educator events January 25–29.

We’re also offering ongoing individual planning sessions via telephone. Call 800-228-5453 and select option 3 to schedule a session. We will have individual Zoom meetings available soon.

Our current group benefit planning sessions are conducted via Zoom. These roundtables are designed to assist you when completing your CalSTRS retirement application.

Be sure to check our benefits planning page for event schedules and more resources.

We’re not sure when we’ll be able to open the doors to our member service centers again, but you can still count on us to be here throughout your career and into retirement.
