CalSTRS has conducted an assessment of AB 340, the California
Public Employees’ Pension Reform Act of 2013, and its impact on
CalSTRS members and operations and outlined key changes.
The Real Estate portfolio is comprised of directly owned assets and investments in opportunity funds. The direct property portfolio is diversified as to property type and geographic location.
The fixed income assets include internally and externally managed investment grade and high yield securities. Securities valued less than $1,000 are omitted.
The Inflation Sensitive asset class was established to generate
long-term cash flows to hedge against long-term liabilities and
protect the portfolio against inflation. The portfolio is
currently comprised of global treasury inflation securities and
an Infrastructure limited partnership. Securities valued less
than $1,000 are omitted.
